Yes, you are able to have one pet per household as long as it meets the requirements that are outlined in the Pet Policy. You will be required to complete all necessary forms, have a veterinary statement of health, and pay a pet security deposit before the animal is allowed into the unit
All buildings, common areas and apartments are smoke-free.
A security deposit is required for each unit. The deposit must be paid in full at the time the lease is signed.
The first step would be to complete a pre-application on line in the “Pre-Application” tab on this website. You will then be contacted to set up an appointment to come to our office to fill out a full application.
HUD has income guidelines depending on the number of members in each family. The income guidelines are updated on a yearly basis. To see if you qualify, visit the programs tab where the current income limits are listed.
Jo Daviess County is approximately 160 miles from downtown Chicago, IL. Greyhound Bus does service some communities throughout Jo Daviess County, the Jo Daviess County Transit offers rides for a charge within the County and nearby areas and Galena has cab service.
Rent is based on household income. Thirty percent of your gross adjusted income will be charged for rent. Families may elect to pay the flat rent assigned to each apartment type.
Each facility offers off-street parking, on-site laundry (excluding family units), plus green space. The family units have individual hook-ups for laundry within the units.
The Housing Authority of the County of Jo Daviess does require that a year lease be signed. Under certain circumstances, with a 30-day written notice, the lease can be terminated.
